Level, in Piano Tiles 2, indicates the progress of a player. Similar to most RPG games, a player can gain a level by accumulating enough experience.
|Level||Exp needed for next level||Rewarded Gold||Rewarded Lives||Maximum Lives|
|21 onwards||10000||10 × Level||2||30|
When a level is reached, the player will be rewarded with coins and lives. Before Level 6 is reached, the maximum number of lives a player can hold is increased by 2. The required experience points to level up grows higher for each level earned, although they stop increasing at Level 20. When the highest level is reached, the game will inform that it needs to be updated. The game still holds the accumulated experience of that level, so that the player will immediately level up upon updating if the required experience is reached. However, on the Kindle Fire HDX version, a lack of updates have left the maximum level at 28.
For each level gained, 3 more songs will be unlocked. The game will notify the player when a new level is reached, and then suggest the newly-unlocked songs to the player.
